Cup o'Joy :: John Cox Review by
Dana DeBraal
| "If God hadn't pursued me, I'd still be sitting
alone at a bar in Texas," shares John Cox, before singing "Pull
You Into My World;" a song about seeking out his hurting
brother, to encourage him and try to pull him into the life
that God offers. Cox performed 2 concerts on Saturday February
18th at the Cup O'Joy Christian Coffeehouse in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
While he sang and strummed his acoustic guitar, his band complimented
him with an electric guitar, upright standing electric bass,
and drums to create a powerful sound that appealed to everyone
from the kids to the older folks that were in attendance. |

His honesty & passion for God poured out into the hearts of the crowd through his testimonies, lyrics, & music. The audience responded with arms raised in worship, smiles, dancing, & clapping. Cox had everyone captivated, especially during his hit songs, "Sunny Day," "Pull You Into My World," "Sanctuary," & his new radio release "Remedy."

John Cox is truly different from other artists; his lyrics aren't forced or pushy, they eloquently pour from the depths of his heart, displaying God's love and provision. John admits that it isn't by his talent that he is here, but it is the gift that God has given him; God is allowing him to use it to further His Kingdom. One thing's for sure…you don't leave a John Cox concert talking about John Cox; you leave the concert in awe of God and His unfailing grace & love.

"After being around Christian music for 20+ years,
I think John Cox is an artist that most markets have not been
treated to. John is a pro; he appeals to the folk side of music
all the way to the straight-up rocker! People need to see what
he has to offer!"
