REDSTAR EXPRESS BLUEGRASS
Friday, 02/19/2016

A Red Star Express concert brings you some traditional Bluegrass music along with a good many other old-time favorites. The band offers a unique blend of talents in its Opry-style shows. We like to call it Newton-grass, based on our Newton, Wisconsin home.

You'll hear songs from the standards like legendary Bill Monroe, the Stanley Brothers or Doc Watson in our lineup. And, we love to interject our own arrangements and original tunes to keep things interesting.

In addition to high harmonies and acoustic instrumentation, the Red Star Express program crosses from bluegrass into country, gospel, a bit of Cajun and some of the band's original music.

Tonights Show features a special guest appearance from fiddler Sue Woodward.

DARA MACLEAN w/Seth Boyte
Saturday, 02/20/2016

Dara Maclean is a Dove-Nominated, internationally-known CCM and Worship Artist. Dara's heart expressly shines through her music, which is poised and penned to reveal the Heart of God the Father with clarity. There is breakthrough in every word. Music is the vessel and her prayer is that God would torrentially pour down His goodness through every word straight to the heart of the listener.

Contemporary Christian singer/songwriter Dara Maclean has released Blameless/How He Loves to iTunes, with an accompanying video on YouTube. Maclean took her original worship track, Blameless, which is absolutely stunning on its own, and mashed it up with the classic worship track from John Mark Macmillan–but made more popular by David Crowder–to come up with a brilliant, worshipful, anointed track that I think every Christian should hear and enjoy.

w/Guest: SETH BOYTE  acoustic folk/Pop/rock with a soulful edge.  A favorite artist from our local musical family♫

She has joined forces with International Justice Mission to advocate for victims of human trafficking for the past 8 years. Sara has been nominated for 7 Dove Awards and has produced a string of successful albums.

Floodplain, the newest album from thought-provoking singer/songwriter Sara Groves, will release on November 6 with FairTrade Services. Groves produced the anticipated new effort in collaboration with Steve Brewster, Matt Pierson, Scott Dente, Daniel Phelps and Brown Bannister. This new album finds Groves leaning in as a songwriter, contemplating want and provision, personal struggles and empathy.

Floodplain, the newest album from Sara Groves is debuting to critical celebration with reviews even noting it as “one of the top albums of the year.” The November 6, 2015 release on FairTrade Services marks Groves honestly contemplating want and provision, personal struggles and empathy.

"Signal" expresses the parallel of Sara's love for her children to God's love for us as His children, similar to her great song "You Cannot Lose My Love," with the vulnerable expression "All the clichés about how much I love you are true, as big as the sky, up to the moon, a million zillion, infinity plus one." The refrain celebrates God's love for us: "There's no cliché when I hear Your song, Your signal is getting stronger, Your signal is getting strong."

Marvin and Gentry
Saturday, 04/30/2016

Influenced by such great songwriters as Simon & Garfunkel, Lennon and McCartney, Crosby Stills Nash and certainly Young, the duo of Ken Marvin and Brian Gentry, both from Kentucky, have been writing and recording together since the late 1980’s.

Marvin & Gentry plied their songwriting craft with live performances in college auditoriums across the country in the ‘80’s where the duo found acceptance of the Marvin & Gentry melodious style and spirit-filled message to wider audiences. It was the discovery by Dan Peek of the band, AMERICA, that would lead to a collaboration of the duo’s next four recordings and the formation of the Christian-rock band, PEACE. Peek, who had a string of hits with AMERICA, found in Marvin & Gentry a kindred spirit and recorded two of their songs on his solo record titled Crossover. The hit song "I Will Not Be Silent" went on to make Peek’s Greatest Hits. Soon after, Marvin & Gentry released their first recording, Safe Harbour
